What card is it? Make sure to check temperatures using HWiNFO64, MSI Afterburner, or some similar program. Something might be faulty, causing a burn (I know this can happen on certain parts of older 3090 FTW3 models)

If need be, take off the backplate and make sure nothing has be been burned. The card might have gotten a false positive during quality testing and gotten pushed through despite being defective.

Is it new or is it modded?

What fans did you put on the 3070?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

new

actually I putted the fans that do come with the sgc1 case, they do suck

so I also attached a desk fan

I removed the original fans because I didn't had space to put the other card, I will remove that position when the new riser does come

Even if you somehow mounted the fans wrong or whatever it still shouldn’t be burning. It would thermal throttle long before that happened.

Does the smell go away if you remove the two fans? You might be over spinning the motors on the GPU fans.
