So just recently i had a big problem with my pc not starting up. But thanks to you guys, i've traced the problem to the RAM and fixed it. Unfortunately i only have one working stick of RAM now (4GB) and i was wondering if you could mix and match other sticks of RAM (like two different brands) with the one i have currently so i can bring my pc back up to 8GB of RAM.

Thx.

Sure, that's not a problem. Just get them as closely speced to each other as possible to make sure it's stable.

I do believe that you can mix and match to different brands of RAM just not different speeds and completely different types, like you couldn't mix DDR2 RAM with DDR3, etc. but someone else can probably clarify this.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
