Not unless you're gonna be doing editing and rendering. You could get a 8350/3570k as mentioned above or you could wait for Haswell to be released and see what kind of performance figures we get

The get the 3770k. That 660/660ti depends on what you prioritize, but I'd go for the 3770k/660 as you're video editing. If you can wait, wait for haswell.

benches are already out for the 4770k if thats what your reffering to and its not worth it hes better off with a 3570k or a 3770k

I found a i7 3770k for 300$ and i was wandering if it was worth the extra 100$

if your gonna be playing games like crysis 3 i suggest the i7 because that game chews up cpus pretty good lol. i have a 3770k and love it though i do alot of mult tasking and rendering and what not so you have to factor in what youll use the system for if its straight gaming no video editing or rendering or anything go with the 3570k or if your set on amd the 8350.. either way if you dont have one i suggest a watercooler and overclock em if your into that sorta thing ;)

i am also doing video editing and rendering, when will the haswell be coming out? also if i get the 8350 il be getting a 660ti instead of a 660

I would wait for Haswell before you begin a new build because they are releasing next month. Intel has hyper threading which helps when you are rendering videos.

I'm going to go against the flow of what everyone else is saying here and say get the 8350. It's a conciderable chunk less expensive than the 3770k, Performs near on par with it at pretty much any task and isn't far off the ball in gaming.

On top of that you can use the money you saved on getting a better gpu and get much better fps in games than what you could achieve with the same cash on the intel side of things

Go with 8350 and use the extra 100 buck to get a better graphic card, or maybe an aftermarket cooler or sth like a corsair h100i. You wont notice any difference at all in your situation.

3770k definitely because you edit/render, a 660 will be good enough for the games nowadays, i don't understand why people recommend lower powered chips and a better gpu, maybe they should read before posting
