logictech g710+ help

hey guys so i got my got my g710+ and ive been trying to get the g keys to work as seperate keys not just be able to remap letters to it, so what im asking is can it be a sperate key or goes it have to be a a remap

i want them to be extra keys, like an extra 6 keys that do their own thing

That's what they're for but what are you trying to get them to do? Have you downloaded Logitech's gaming software?

what they do is try to copy a key like t i to the m key or i can record a macro to them but i cant really have them run at keys g1-g6 so when making game controls i cant really bind them specialy just like bind t to a control and then press m3 instead of t

Have you tried unassigning the key before trying to make the macro ingame?

no i will try that now

nope that did not work in left for dead 2 atleast

Hmm, not sure then. At the very least, you should be able to assign it to a key you'd never use otherwise, right? 

For example, the asterisk.

i guess i could put numbpad keys there, i will have to look around the net for solutions, and yes ive been using the logictech software

Not really. They have just slightly more squish than I'd prefer but it's all good.

trying them removed for a while and i dont know right now

After reading the thread I still don't know what you're trying to do with the G keys. If you open the software you can change them to do near enough anything you want.

He's trying to assign hotkeys to the G keys from in the game.

They have to be remapped to an existing key on the keyboard or a combination of keys or a recorded macro

 

You can't just have extra keys because the computer wouldn't understand the input - Just rebind them to numpad or something that you dont use ingame and bind the game controls to those keys

It doesn't work that way without mapping the macro to an existing key.

the logictech software isnt as good as like corsairs or razers
