Budget (including currency): $1500 USD ($1000 USD without GPU)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I want a pc for gaming with the eventual goal of streaming. I have created a list of parts I am considering getting (see below). I am not going to buy a graphics card until I can get one for MSRP, so I am waiting for now. I play league, TFT, Among Us, and Chess, so waiting isn't a huge deal. I would like to have a nice NVIDIA GPU eventually because I want to stream on Twitch.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Here is the PC Parts Picker List I created. I am going with a brown and white theme because I am going to add some stickers of the BT21 character Shooky. I just wanted to get a second opinion on what I have picked out :) Thanks in advance!

Get a different cooler. Something like the Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo will cool much better than that.

The motherboard is a bit too much for the chip you're using.

If you're waiting for the 3070 or something like that to reach $500, then you'll want a higher wattage PSU. The last thing you want to cheap out on is the PSU, so use some saved motherboard money on a better PSU.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.

Recommendations: Lian Li 205m (sleek, pretty decent airflow for a non-mesh front panel and cheap), i5-10400f (Ryzen 5 3600 performance, 20% cheaper), Arctic P14 PWM fans, Logitech g305.

This cooler is rated for a maximum of 65W TDP. The CPU you chose has a 125W TDP

A 2TB hard drive is not much more than the 1TB you chose https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mwrYcf/seagate-barracuda-computer-2-tb-35-7200rpm-internal-hard-drive-st2000dm008

Motherboard is too expensive and power supply is too weak.

I would go with either an 11400 or a 5600x, a 11600k does not really make sense.

I actually was hoping to get a 1660 super, 2060 or 3060. I would be happy to be under budget. Do you still recommend a higher wattage PSU?

Oh right, well yeah I would still recommend splurging a little on the PSU. It will give you peace of mind that your PSU is good enough if you decide to upgrade in the future.

I updated the part list from everyone’s recommendations. I’m trying to limit it to what’s in stock at Amazon and Best Buy, with a preference for Best Buy (I can pick up items fastest). Does it look more reasonable?

CPU Cooler- be quiet! Dark Rock Slim up to 180W TDP

Motherboard- Asus ROG Strix B460-h Gaming

I don’t like the aesthetics of the micro-ATX motherboard in the mid-tower case. I chose the most affordable full ATX motherboard available at those retailers with an aesthetic I didn’t find too manly (I’m a female and this is going in my very cutesy setup). Does that logic make sense? I’m very new to this.

I have all the peripherals. I used to dock a laptop to my setup. I just need the tower.

How's this? (850 watts is to let you upgrade to a viable video card in the future

Is there a functional difference between the cooler and motherboard you chose and what I chose? It seems like they’re just different brands but otherwise similar to me. Also, I had case fans included in my build. Do you think they’re unnecessary?

So, your cooler is meant for low-profile builds (mini itx) and therefore, have less cooling potential. I would suggest getting the Dark rock 4 so you have some sort of an upgrade path  with your CPU. Motherboards are fine, I just wanted to get u a cheaper z590 board that wasnt micro atx
