Budget (including currency): 500€, willing to go up to 700€ (not ideal)

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: For Honor, emulated Wii games (via Dolphin), Dark Souls 1 (PTDE) - 3, Skyrim, Manifold Garden, Maelstrom, CoD: BO2/3, Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Workloads: Virtual machines for sandboxing old Windows operating systems (on VMWare Workstation)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current rig: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 w/stock fan, GIGABYTE B450m DS3h, Gainward GTX 1050ti, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (16GB Dual Channel, CAS Latency 16), WD Green M.2 SATA SSD (256GB), 500W Thermaltake PSU (80+ certified), Seagate FireCuda Hybrid SSD (2TB), Cooler Master MasterBox 5 RGB case (one front IO USB port broken).

Extras which would be nice having, but are not a necessity for me: A quiet air cooling solution which would not need a lot of maintenance and an additional hard drive for mass storage.

Looking towards an upgrade, possibly within that budget constraint. Please give me a recommendation within my budget and an "optimal" upgrade without concerning my budget.

Please let me know if there is anything I can improve upon when making a similar post next time.

@Max B. I would say the GPU but looking to market conditions its hard to get one and I saw a 1660super is for 500€ which is pricy for what it was if you can wait for the prices to drop you can get it or something higher for like 300€ and get 2tb HDD 7200rpm for like 60€ and a CPU cooler for 30€ and maybe a thermal paste for 10€ and for what left you can get a PSU

Yea, the GPU market is an issue and I was gonna wait for that to calm down first. Can you be a bit more specific about what CPU cooler I should buy?
