Ethernet keeping desktop from sleeping

ALB112

Hello so my current build:

CPU: 5800X

Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S

Case: Fractal Design Meshify C and I added 2 Noctua NF-A14 140mm fans in the front for intake and the stock fan that comes with the case at the top for exhaust and the rear fan for exhaust.

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 GA, 80 plus Gold 850W

GPU: Nvidia 3080 EVGA

Mobo: GIGABYTE B550 Aorus master AM4

Ram: G.Skill Trident Neo 32gb (8Gb sticks x4)

so recently I plugged in a ethernet connection from my TP-Link TL-SG108 | 8 Port Gigabit Unmanaged Ethernet Network Switch, Ethernet Splitter to my desktop and for some reason when it prevents my desktop from sleeping and before I thought of doing that I closed out of tons of background programs thinking those were the cause but they turned out not to be until I unplugged the Ethernet connection. So I was wondering what y’all think about this and why this would prevent my desktop from sleeping correctly.

thank you for time,
