GPU not utilizing fully.

Go to solution Solved by C4_Boom,

Thanks all for your help. I just solved it myself, just overclock :)

I have Acer Nitro 5 AN515-43. CPU: Ryzen 5 3550H, GPU: GTX 1650. I have 2 GPUs in my laptop, Vega 8 and Gtx 1650 but my laptop is only using Vega 8 + Gtx 1650, and also vega 8 is processing much more than Gtx 1650 causing low fps and stuttering. I did everything, I selected Gtx 1650 in 3d settings and in PhysX but it still no use. I also selected the games and put them on high performance in settings. Still no use. I disabled my iGPU but it changes to Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Please Help Me.

What's happening is that the 1650 is being passed through the Vega 8 GPU to the display.

No, there is no way to fix this. This must happen for the display to function.

" I disabled my iGPU but it changes to Microsoft Basic Display Adapter." You could disable the igpu again and when you are on windows install the gtx1650 drivers.

not a great idea to disable integrated GPU needed to save battery life.

is the newest 1650 driver installed? can you see that gpu listed on afterburner?

actually, i don't much care about the battery life. I clean installed the new 1650 drivers and yes i can see it on afterburner.

... my laptop doesn't use the iGPU at all when playing games,  unless i tell it to...

In my laptop, there is no option for disabling iGPU in bios.

Ok, but you said you disabled it,  how did you do that?

I would actually recommend full reinstall of windows (completely fresh, no "keep my files etc")  do not change any settings afterwards , only to set games to use the dGPU in Nvidia control panel.

Of course this could also be a Nvidia AMD bug,  but I rather think it's some settings conflict

Back up any data you want to keep onto another drive before you go this route, should you decide to.

Depends on the laptop model. Even disabling it in the bios, when I was in OPs shoes with several laptops with the same situation, the iGPU was still being utilized, or it swapped to utilizing the CPU to pass the video through.

This is a very common issue with cheaper gaming laptops.

Weird. But then it's also weird to combine a vega igpu with a Nvidia dgpu...  it's much more common with Intel, and I'd bet is also more mature.

Btw my intel igpu gets used for movie maker,  but it doesn't bother me, it's actually quite fast.

I enabled GTX 1650 in PhysX, 3D settings in nVidia Control Panel. I also selected my games as high performance in Settings but still I can't play. I reinstalled my Windows 10 today through USB Drive, erased all the files but still low fps.

nuke amd and nvidia drivers from your system and let windows get the latest driver for both.
try a game

i tried this rn, when i nuked my amd driver, it automatically changed to Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and my 120hz laptop screen turns into 1hz screen. I tried Valorant and it didn't worked.
My windows 10 is not getting the latest amd driver.

download latest graphics from official site, check if everything is alright, then update nvidia drivers as usual

some games allow you to choose display adapter, e.g. Warzone.

do any of your games allow you to select the 1650 in their graphics menu?

Games which I play mostly are CS:GO and Valorant, so there's no option to select in settings.
