im upgrading my storage device

im upgrading from a 2tb hdd to a 1tb nvme and a 2tb sata ssd. Is there a way to split my steam library as i transfer over so the games i play the most/play online get put on the nvme and the games i play the least on the sata? or would i have to just not transfer the games i wanted on the sata from my hhd and then create a new folder on the sata and redownload them?

You can transfer the games you play most often in a folder on your SSD and the games you play less often on a folder on the HDD, just keep in mind to add the library folder to steam so it discovers the games when you try to redownload them

and i could do this all with the steam folder manager? would there be any problems that i might could expect or is this all as easy as it seams? im expecting both devices to get here Friday so im just trying to pre-emptively find the trouble shoot for any problems that might occur.

It should work just fine, though it might take a bit of time as steam goes through each game and verifies it.
