New XLR microphone

Ryoukio

Hello recently I was thinking about changing the microphone, I lost the topic a bit from the moment of buying mine and I need to focus on the next purchase. I have $ 150+, max $ 180 to spend.

I currently have a Samson q2u but I would prefer something less sensitive that does not catch very high tones and has low noise in q2u it is quite audible.
For this I have a Behringer UMC22 as an audio interface.

Thanks in advance for your help

You can be sure with Shure.  Sm58 is decent along the same lines as what you have or even sm57.  Rode makes some good stuff too.

The prices really jump for the studio stuff, like over 500 for a good Shure.

UMC22 is a legacy device and you should not purchase it,
It sounds like you just have the gain up way too high on the Q2U, bring it closer to your mouth and reduce the gain.
