Flight Simulator Build

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

 

So a friend has hit me up asking about a PC for his girlfriends dad. He basically just said he wants it to play flight simulator on it. Ive been abit out of the loop recently with components so not sure on what to recomned to him. 

 

All he needs is the tower i can sort windows for him and he has all the other stuff.

 

Any help would be grand

for 600 and if we are considering gpus at MSRP, he's not gonna run flight simulator 2020 not even on ultra settings or high, is he fine with it or?

depending on the components inside, most likely low settings is the best he can get, Medium if in some cases.

Unless the flight simulators he plays are older for ultra (from 2018 or lower I think, maybe medium-high for 2019 ones)

The graphics card market it so out of stock that it is probably worth it getting a prebuilt.

You would have to get a prebuilt for this, and even then flightsim would be restricted to 720 low to get stable 30fps 

(I have a rx480, that’s the max I can do)

RX 580/GTX 1060 could prob do 1080p Ultra at 30+ fps. I ran my temporary RX 580 at 1440p high and managed 25 fps. Not great, but not bad.

 

I'd wait a bit though for stock to come in and old parts to fall in price.
