Computer refuses to work by itself...

Go to solution Solved by JJetter,

ok guys, i have no idea how and why and whatsoever...

i just tried out some bios functions and so:

i turned off Windows fast boot

i turned off windows whql support

i turned off secure boot

i switched booting from legacy+uefi to uefi

and i disabled the startup logo ( i dont think thats it )

and now its working... i really dont want to switch any more gpu's because i did it already like 20 times and i dont want to kill one because the computer is really thight.

So finally it is working as intended and from now on i wont get back into bios because "never touch a running system"!

i am really thankful for ur help guys but i just fixed it by accident... 😕

sincerely JJ

ok guys, i got a weird problem here and im out of ideas.

So im building a pc for a friend for his bd. Hes just playing LOL so i got him an

MSI A320M PRO VD/S Mainboard with win10

Athlon X4 950 cpu

8Gb DDR4 Corsair vengeance ( thats mine i will give him sth. else when it arrives ) RAM

AMD Radeon HD6870 graphics card (only temporary while gpu prices are insane)

an 240Gb SSD + 1Tb HDD etc.

but as soon as i start the mainboard lights up the vga light and i get no video output at all.

so now the funny part: when i switch it with a gtx 1050ti it works fine. Radeon r7 240 has same problem. I installed windows and all updates and all drivers already.

so now the next "funny" part... when i put in the gtx1050ti and get into bios to disable secure boot and enable windows whql support and restart, it shows the error message about how the gpu does not have a GOP and i can continue by pressing F2 (and EVERYTHING works fine like benchmarks, games, installing stuff). when i instead press F1 ( after the GOP message ) it takes me back to BIOS where all my settings are gone.

So here is my question:

How can i fix this? (i dont want to always switch graphic cards to start a computer)

my ideas:

-force bios to keep settings

-get the gop somehow

can somebody help me with this im really struggeling with it...

ps.: no i cant flash the bios because its a OEM mainboard with windows on it

kind regards!

as i just wrote, i just cant. its an OEM bios which has M-flash disabled. and if i would rewrite the bios via DOS i would delete the windows key. so flashing is a nono.

then live with their terrible software choices.

Your board has a fundamental and fixable flaw.... So either fix it , or live with it.
