Hello

I have a strange problem, if there is one. When I press the switch-button on the psu to turn it on, the PC starts for a very short while and then turns off. I first discovered this after I updated the bios from F7 to F11n on my Aorus Master Z390 motherboard. Before the PC didn't turn on when I pressed the switch-button from 0 to 1 on my EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2. Other than that I have no problem with my PC. It seems to run very stable. But I did turn up the voltage a bit to run it at 4.9 GHz with the new bios.

(ErP is set to on in the bios if that does matter)

If you know why its acting like this when turning on the psu, please help.

Best regards Lived

Not a problem. Unless it is causing issues with turning on the computer from a powered off state, but you didn't mention anything like that. Very likely a power delivery test or a small power surge that is very unlikely to damage anything, but activated the LEDs and fans for a split second. Could be related to the new BIOS, but I wouldn't worry about it. Very good chance it isn't a problem at all, just a little strange, but also not strange to somebody with years of experience.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Power button of the case stuck? Remove pwr_sw connectors from motherboard.

The power button is not stuck. Maybe I should test and remove pwr_sw connectors. But I was very meticulous when I put them in.

I hope so. The only reason I upgraded the bios was to be able to add more ram that is supposed to run better with newer bios version.
