I want to know if it is possible to have a single server/computer that can host multiple "clients" (not sure if that is the correct terminology). Each "client" will be hard wired (HDMI, USB, etc.) to the server, and have their own Windows 10 virtual machine, so each TV could be controlled independently with a mouse and keyboard. It would also be nice if all of the VMs could access the same media database. The space is relatively small, I am not worried about the distance the HDMI, USB would have to travel.

Currently, each TV has its own computer. While not necessarily an issue, I would like to have a more centralized server that I can also use game servers and home automation servers.

I have concerns about the following items:

-can the USB inputs be handled separately by each VM, even though they are plugged into the same machine?

-can I use a single graphics card for multiple VMs?

-Audio? if I want 5.1 surround will I need an audio card for each VM that requires it?

I have attached a picture and the PPT that shows the diagram of what I want to do.

Having seperate computers seems like the much better solution to me here, esp if you only need to play nvidoes

ID really keep the system on the seperate systems, get a seperate servers.

DO you really need multiple vms here? You can use software like aster to have multiple users share one computer and have separate usb + audio devices.

Id avoid
