Hello, I just bought a new pc and its an amd fx4300 , 8gb ram build with an gigabyte motherboard at the core. Since i got it for a 134 usd approx. It came with everything except a graphics card. this system works fine but i was wondering how i could game on it and i know that the proccessor is ancient and i am going to upgrade it but the reason i am posting it on this forum is because i dont wanna build a balls to the wall build but rather a cheap value for money build. It would really be helpful if u guys told me what to upgrade and what could stay in a little longer.

specs

Proccessor- Amd Fx4300 quad core

ram- 8gb hyperx 1600 mhz ddr3

motherboard- Asus Prime a520m

no dedicated gpu

storage- 1tb 7200rpm hdd

psu;- 250 watt smps

All Opinions are appreciated

Hi, welcome to the forum!

the 250W PSU is a pretty limiting factor. I would definitely upgrade that to atleast something around 500 watts or so.

As it stands now you should probably look for a GPU that can run with that PSU. So something that doesn't require external power like a 1050 or maybe even a 750Ti.

Something is not right. An Asus prime a520m is am4. Yet you have an ancient am3+ cpu. And what @rollinlower said is correct aswell.. 250 watt is not alot and deffinately not with that hungry cpu.

Yeah you're right, its a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD DDR3 1333 760G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX Motherboard. The reason A GPU upgrade doesn't make any sense is becuz the motherboard has pci gen 2. would you recommend upgrading the motherboard, ram, psu and getting a dedicated gpu
