wich Mainboard and CPU?

Go to solution Solved by boggy77,

the i5-10400 is a great cpu if you can live with it's quite poor igpu until you manage to get a dedicated gpu

i am still planning my build. So far i have not decided on a CPU and Mainboard. I would like to go with a Biostar B550MH Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard as a mainboard, has anyone here tried it out? What are your experiences with it? And i also would like to get a recommendation on what CPU i should use. I was thinking something like ryzen 5 3000 Series, but i would need Integrated Graphics (cant afford a GPU rn but still want the other parts for now). My budget for the CPU is around 200€ and for the Mainboard is 100€ the maximum (doesnt matter if it is a little more), but cheaper is better for me here

Thanks

i am buying from germany, but since i need an igpu anyways, i probably have to go with intel to get a cpu with some power

so what do you need the cpu/pc for?

if gaming, the amd igpu will be better.

if not gaming, i agree an intel would be better

For mainboard,i would take the b550 but from MSI or Gigabyte.Biostar is too unreliable in my opinion.

The 3400g is the best desktop APU out there(aside from OEM's).If you dont need that powerfull of an IGPU then get the 3200g for cheaper, and maybe save that money for gpu.

The difference between the 3200g and 3400g is of about 5-10 fps, that doesnt sound like much, but the jump from 20 to 30 or 30 to 40 fps is much more significant that the jump from 100 to 110 fps on the high end.

The difference between the 2200g and 3200g is smaller:about 5 fps.

The price difference in Romania is 40 euro between each of the igpu's i mentioned.

But you have another problem, will the cpu in the APU be powerfull enough once you get a GPU?
