GPU temp increases when “fixing” sag

johnsoner13

My old gtx 1080 strix has a bit of sag at the end. When i hold it up at the end with my finger and negate the sag, the temps immediately jump like 10C. Why?

The solution? Just let it sag?

Sag is natural, designers account for it when they make GPUs. If you remove the cooler and reattach it, the cooler is adequately tightened, then you could add something inside the case that suspends the GPU horizontally. But there's not much reason to.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Then it's fine, you may prop it up with some things, but don't push it up too hard, just to support it to cure your ocd
