A better gpu and done?

But we need more specs here as in:

Case

Cooling

And most importantly what exact model psu.

The top 2 are also important due to ibuypower liking to use almost completly closed cases

i believe my psu is fine but the case and cooling are needed, my cpu can't handle discord and chrome at the same time.

Keep your current system but buy a good set of 32gb of ram to replace your 16. Use your budget to buy a 3070 or 3080 at the lowest price you can which might be closer to your 3000 budget than you might have hoped due to current stock problems and resellers. Watch LTT's latest videos for more on this and maybe join LTT's verified actual gammer program if it is still possible or on the next drop.

You have a pretty good 8 core cpu and 16gb of ram, basic multitasking should be a breeze. 90% chance that's some sort of software bug or driver issue.

ive updated all of my drives before, and it still freezes for a few secs

UPDATE: I took apart my computer and saw a few unplugged cables. I plugged them in and the fan lights that didn't work before are now working, but sadly I wasn't able to find the psu model number

Ok well here’s something we can use to indicate the PSU quality -

—What color were the cables?

geometry is hard
b550 > x570
