I have a raspberry pi and a dead dell n5050 laptop. So I have an idea to take the screen out of the laptop and connect it to my pi and make a tablet or something but dell has there own strange connector and I don't know if it is even possible. So is it possible and if so how could I do it.

If you can get a ribbon cable to HDMI or VGA or whatever then yes.

You'd probably need something like this

 

 

It's for converting your cable to a usable connector, but to specify what board you wan't you're probably gonna need to find out what connector or cable it is, by the picture I can make it it's something with a 30pin, that's something to start with. Google is your friend.

I plan on using a small wireless keyboard like this
