£1500 Max Budget 1440p Gaming UK

Hey guys, I know I have a thread up about my old rig

But here is my planned spec for my new rig - budget is max £1500, If you have any recommendations where I could save money that would be awesome. The theme is black and red so I have tried to run with that theme.

I plan on upgrading my monitors very soon but I need to get a new PC first

I want to use this rig to play games at 1440p 60 fps fluidly, games like Metro Last Light, Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Tomb Raider and whatever comes out soon Star Citizen and such

I didn't use PC Part Picker because the components i picked were not available - Also, some of these items are available cheaper from different UK retailers saving the odd £10 here and there so im aware of that

What would you add/change/remove with that given budget? I plan to buy next pay day in 4 weeks pending sale of some of my old stuff (please buy it)

the build is solid for 1440p i would change some branding in components like the gpu for an evga but thats personal preference you should be ok with that build

Look nice BUT your motherboard will not fit in that case!!!

you might want to get a ful size atx case like the 450D or 750D or change the motherboard for a good M-Atx motherboard

No the gpu is fine, it's ten times more quiet than the evga one

That case is MATX not ATX compatible. Also if you get the i5 4670K there isn't much difference other than the core hyperthread count. Besides that not much to say other than you could save a bit of money. @ShadowCaptain

Also the build suggessted by @CoolBeans seems very nice and puts a good fist fight with a single 780ti vs 780 SLI

I know >< I wasn't reading when I picked it, I already have an i5 2500k so it wouldnt be much of an upgrade, i would just keep what I had. I was hoping the i7 would help in video rendering and editing tasks and other general compute performance

SPEC

That is interesting SLI 580s

I still cant decide if I am wasting money selling my z78 V LE and 2500k is worth it. I still want a new PSU, case, SSD GPU etc, I think its worth the £100-200 its going to cost me VS keeping it, does anybody agree?

I do want to use this rig for video and photo editing too

I've just don't some googling and checking with my 350D too.

Looks like if you going to use the MSI Z87M you may fine the H100i a very tight fit if you top mount it.

I used to have mine top at the top off my case and it pushed against my 8pin power connnection on my motherboard/.
so it looks like the heatsinks on the Z78M might be in the way or it will be a very tight fit.

Maybe I should get the 650D instead? or the new 450d and stick with my original mobo choice?

I would get a asus rog motherboard.

As gorgeous as they are, not sure how it is going add any benefit  to my build

Any reason for the recommendation?

They are very high quality, and have very many good features. And i would get one if I had the budget.

Seems OTT for what im doing, i'm not really into crazy overclocking its pretty much just going to be 1 graphics card 1 ssd 1 hard drive. I just find it hard to justify an extra £100/£200 for features i will not use

The MSI motherboards are military grade, so should outlast the rig just fine  and do their intended purpose, its still a £100 motherboard so i definately do not want to skimp on that but my budget isnt limitless, id rather put the money into components that will give a performance increase
