New Headset Recommendations/Advice?

Hi all,

Back again for some good advice!

I've had my Sennheiser Game ZEROs for just over 4 years now and they're finally falling apart so I need to replace them.

I did like the leather sides and that they cover over my entire ear. I mainly purchased them because I thought the microphone on it was one of the best on a headset.

My price range is between £100 to £200, it must have a decent enough microphone, the rest I don't mind too much but of course if the audio could be as ok as the Sennheiser headset!

Many Thanks,

Matt

There are many options out there. I would recommend the MH752's because they are great but still pretty cheap and has features that the Game ZERO's don't have and you can save some money. The MH752's also fit your needs it seems like. The mic is great for being a headset.

If you like Sennheiser and want to stick with them the Sennheiser GSP 500 would fit the bill.

Those aren't even closely good compared to the ZERO's. The GSP's sound hollow and really really tinny and no soundstage. Mic is the same but still sounds like a pilot mic.

Not something to laugh about. That is just my personal opinion. They aren't the greatest out there for the price.

What's falling apart? Is it fixable? Typically the only part of a headphone/headset that should be wearing down is the earpads

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

I second the comment @weez made, if the pads are falling apart I would do some research on replacing pads.

My sennheiser gaming one's ended up with an electrical problem, however I was rough on them, yanked the cord out of the front audio port's and threw them against a wall a few times.  The cable got bent where it goes into the headphones and the volume wheel on the side is glitchy even after buying a new cable.  I may take them apart some day because for an all in one headset I absolutely loved them, a friend of mine got the same one's at the same time and is using them trouble free, probably because they hit fewer walls.

*I must have got them 7 years ago and they broke after 3 years, that's still 7 years that my friend has had them without fail.

Audio go Brrrrrr
