Creating your own Mods

virtualTune

Hi guys,

I recently picked up some older games and I was wondering if there was a website or some tutorials that could teach me how to write some graphics mods. I just watched a video of the iCEnhancer 2.5 alpha and I would really like to do something similar for other games. I realize it takes a lot of time, iCE is just an example.

I mean beyond simple alterations of the game.ini file like Ambient Occlusion in Skyrim :P

Any help is welcome :)

Could be hard to make a new shaders, the developer that made iCEnhancer is a software engineer that makes game engines.

It depends on the game you want to make the mod for.
Making texture mods for Minecraft with bumb maps is pretty easy.
Or making a custom level for Crysis 2.
Making shaders can be easy if the game runs on Unreal Engine/Cryengine other wise you would need to code.

I was afraid of that :/ Well other wise, I'd just need to grab UE/CE and then what?  (My first target was Assasin's Creed 2 btw) :P
