Cpu not responding, low power, no signal from gpu

user3697

Hey I was just looking for a opinion on my computers issues before I take it to a shop repair. It started a few days ago when I tried plugging a charger into a usb port next to my power button(NZXT h500i) the purple bit came off and froze my computer, after turning it off it would not turn back on. I ended up looking around forums finding out that I had to rearrange the pins so there are not touching any metal on the inside. I now have power running through the system (Fans,Lights,Gpu fan,Water cooler starts up)  but I have no signal coming from my gpu as well as the USB ports will only now power small items live a bluetooth dongle and a vape charger. My keyboard and mouse do not seem to connect. Currently the only lead I am working on is the red light on the motherboard saying its a Cpu problem

I have tried

-Unplugging and repluging all of the components in the computer.

-Reseting and replacing CMOS

-Taking parts off and checking for damage

-Taking ram sticks out and switching them around

If anyone has any suggestions or would like any more info let me know!

Along with straightening out the pins of the USB port did you disconnect the cable connecting them to the motherboard? Disconnect the front USB ports from the board and try turning it on.

Yep. If that doesn't help then the mobo is probably toast.
