I was playing Classic WoW when suddenly my ingame character's model became stretched and corrupted. This was followed by the rest of my programs graphically bugging out / corrupting. I could not find anything like what I saw on the internet. Has anyone experienced this and do they know why? I've DDU'd my AMD drivers and reinstalled fresh. I'm using an RX 5700 not overclocked. I have freesync disabled and am using a 144hz monitor. So far there have been two instances of this artifacting happening, both in the same day a couple hours apart.

What's interesting is the second image is showing an entire resource from Windows' assemblies. This might indicate some sort of memory problem. Do you have any overclocks on your card? Maybe you could dial the memory clock down a bit. Also check if the GPU isn't overheating.

Nope, no overclocking. I could certainly try underclocking the memory, however.

I found a new issue now. I have been monitoring my GPU using AMD adrenaline software and since I've reinstalled, once a day the software crashes. When it does crash it freezes the game I'm playing (WoW) and then I can't move my cursor, and my screen goes black. Then when my screen comes back the software has closed itself. My driver version is 20.11.2.

I've been encountering this odd visual bug lately. I'll be in a game when suddenly the models become bugged and the ingame textures as well. I tab out and see these odd textures across my screen which seem to be Windows cursor icons. Could this issue stem from memory or my graphics card?

Unless it is a driver glitch, bad graphics card. Could also be the monitor. Can't hurt to check them both. I am guessing this issue just occurred with no prior changes to the hardware? Is it only on one game or in others as well?

The pictures shown are two different monitors. I've had no hardware changes done. The graphics cards is fairly new, about a year and a half. I reinstalled my drivers, but it didn't seem to do anything. Accompanying this issue is another one where my applications freeze then my screen goes black, and everything returns. I was monitoring my GPU using AMD's Adrenaline software when one of these black screens happened and I noticed that the AMD software had crashed, but no other applications did. Maybe it's a case of AMD drivers doing "their thing". I think downgrading versions may be worth a shot. Not sure though..

Do you have another GPU or onboard to test with? If the card is defective the can crash frequently as it is struggling to identify the card for example.

I have an old gtx 650 and a (maybe) faulty r9 390x. No extra mobos, but my roommate may be willing to let me test with his PC. I'm gonna try downgrading my video card drivers before anything.

Ok, try that, then try the 650 card. If the error persists on the 650, you have some other issue. I don't think it's the motherboard.

I've switched out and have been using the GTX 650 for about a week and have encountered no issues. I've decided to RMA my RX 5700 since it's still under warranty.
