What cooler should I get? and general recomendations

Budget (including currency): 1600€

Country: Belgium

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA games (mostly single player), schoolwork, ...

I'm thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 5600x but I don't know yet if I should go with a cheap aio or an aircooler.

Please let me know what you think! ( This is my first build)

If you have any other suggestions for the rest of the build, please let me know.

RAM: kingston hyperx predator 16gb DDR4-3200 CL16->90€

MB: gigabyte B550 aurus elite ATX ->168€ (not sure about this one)

GPU: RTX 3070 -> 450€

SSD: samsung 970 evo 1TB->130€

HDD: seagate ironwolf pro 4TB ->140€

PSU: corsair RM 850W ->134€

case: not sure ( depends on the budget I have left)

The price of a cheap AIO is the same price as a high end air cooler. Any decent cooler would do a good job with the 5600x, like the stock cooler, hyper 212, or any decent cheap(ish) air cooler for example

geometry is hard

ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO CPU Cooler

It really depends on the airflow of your case and the quality of your thermal compound. I have an air-choked case and corsair thermal compound and the only time it gets above 65° on my 2600x (95W) is when I'm doing really intense blender runs with the stock cooler (wraith spire). I bumped the fan curve up some, but only for 65°+ temps and it works great.

An air cooler makes the most sense. Which one depends a bit on how quiet you wish the system. Something like an NH-D15, Dark Rock Pro 4, or NH-U12A would likely offer the quietest operation.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
