I suppose you haven't installed your motherboard's drivers?

Get them from ASUS' website:聽https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-wi-fi-model/helpdesk_download

Ok I used the usb from my windows 10 install to copy the files from a laptop.聽

Im not sure where to go from here. It says I need codecs from the Microsoft store to work the file but I cannot without the chipset.

Would buying an external DVD drive be worth it to use the disc to install with my 聽drives instead?

They're zipped files, just click on them like a normal file and you'll open them. What you need to install are the drivers for LAN, Wireless ,Chipset, Audio ,Bluetooth and SATA.

Also no you dont need the disc that comes with the motherboard since they will always have drivers that are already outdated.

You don't need to use the BIOS renamer. You just need to put the .cap file on a FAT32 formatted device for the BIOS utility to pick it up to ugprade.

What is a FAT32 formatted device?

My apologies this must be frustrating to read.3C110406-6E62-460D-98A3-3F2F8B6F9AAD.thumb.jpeg.f26963780f99bf5381960a53ba0c4f98.jpeg

This is all that appears regardless of where I drag the files from usb to. I won鈥檛 have codecs to download聽聽without the drivers installed in order to install them?

That's a BIOS update file, it's something you use to update your BIOS firmware, not something you open locally.

Where is the FAT32 device that I need to move the file to? Windows cannot recognise the drivers in the file.

Your USB drive should be FAT32 formatted most likely already.

You do NOT open the file in windows at all, it's not a driver. You boot into your BIOS and use the EZ-Flash utility to update your BIOS.

Will it use the drives automatically after entering bios again聽
