BF4 Naval Strike DLC gets delayed on PC.

This Bug... Cool new game mode? :)

 

Making the game MOD'able would certainly increase sales as people would stick it out for creation of things such as above...in funtime servers,.. without it being a bug.

 

BF4 Funtyme Server /w Mod "Sound Occlusion & Underwater Slow-Mo" FTW.

 

Fact is, if they kept to the BF2 model of a mod-able game, some group of 3 guys will create better "DLCs" in a couple of months, for free, on evenings and weekends, than dice/EA can create in a year.

 

Any excuse they give of noobifying the game because "it's too hard for the average gamer" is just an excuse.

What is still broken about it? I havent payed attention to it.

 

Lot's of stuff, not everyone will experience them all.

 

Major ones I can think off the top of my head

 

 

- Kill cam shows wrong killer (Being sniped from the C-130 is not uncommon)

 

- Packet loss.   DICE has admitted this is a server/client issue and not players connection problems in the majority of cases.

 

- Commander bug that allows rogue commanders to empty a server.   Not sure how this works, haven't seen it yet.

 

- Emptying entire clips into people with no hit registration at all regardless of ping.

 

- Ton's of invisible walls, mostly around destroyed objects.

 

- Wrong player punished for TK's in Hardcore.  (Might have been fixed already)

 

- 32/64 player Servers becoming very unstable unless rebooted every 24 hours.

 

- Sound not kicking in for 10-15 seconds after joining round.

 

- Shots to the toe are counting as headshots, pretty much everything is a headshot since the second last patch

which is why you may be seeing a large number of Youtube videos of people showing off their long distance "Headshots".

 

- High res textures not loading for several minutes from round start.  (Even on SSD's)

 

- Rubberbanding

 

- Stuttering

 

- Severe FPS drops regardless of PC specs

 

- Second last patch doubled framerates for many people, last patch then took that back and cut FPS even further.

 

- Reload animation problems.

 

- Being shot by Invisible players who don't appear until after you are dead.

 

- Floating debris.

 

- Being killed by your own chopper when bailing out.   (You must look to the side BEFORE bailing or you get run over)

I only have about the half of those issues.

But the last one happens to me all the time :/

Almost every issue on that list is getting fixed on Naval Strike release.(Ps4 got the patch today)

Patch notes for the next patch:

“NETCODE” 

-Fix for an issue where the kill camera would display the incorrect killer. 

-Fix for an issue where the kill card won’t show up when playing on servers which have the kill camera turned off. 

-Fixed an issue where other soldiers would appear to fire in the wrong direction when turning quickly. 

-Fix for weapons firing twice, or not at all in some instances. 

-Fix for an issue where explosions didn’t do any damage to infantry and vehicles that were outside of the combat area. 

-Fix for an issue where late-joining players wouldn’t correctly experience Levolution events on Paracel Storm and Flood Zone. 

-Fix for an issue that could cause packet loss. 

GENERAL FIXES 

-General stability improvements 

-Fix for a crash that could occur when players were customizing vehicles. 

-Fix for an issue in the Rush game mode where end-of-round screen would always indicate that there were 60 minutes left of the game. 

-Fix for an issue where the splash damage for IFV shells, Helicopter rockets, and Mortar rounds was unable to destroy deployed equipment. 

-Fix for an issue that could cause the quad bike to explode when it hit indestructible objects. 

-Fix for an issue that would cause sniper rifles to display too much bloom when aiming in snowy conditions, especially the outside areas of Operation Locker. 

-Fix for an issue where the ECM would sometimes fail to jam incoming missiles. 

-Shortened the take-off distances for jets to match the length of the runways in Second Assault maps. 

-Fix for going above ceiling exploits in Operation Metro. 

-Fix for a new MAV riding exploit. 

-Fix for kill camera jittering/strobing sometimes if colliding with other world objects or terrain. 

-Fix for soldiers getting catapulted when walking on steep surfaces 

PROGRESSION 

-Added Gold Battlepacks as rewards for Class Service Stars, allowing players that have reached the max Rank to continue earning new Battlepacks.

Man, Way to go DICE Stockholm...

 

I sure hope that after Naval strike does get released on PC that DICE L.A Can do a much better job.

They sure do have a pretty large grave to dig out of...
