Default Windows 10 scaling for a 4K 32" display?

kingmustard

I'm guessing it's about 150-200% for a display that small. But does it really matter what the default is? Just put it to what is comfortable to your eyes. Unless you need to know for... reasons?

I have a 4K 32" monitor on the way and I'll likely be running it at 100%, no matter what Windows suggests, as I'm going for real estate, not pure sharpness. It's the whole reason I'm upgrading one of my 1440p monitors for this one.

I run my 25" and 27" 1440p monitors at 100% and text is very legible. For my situation, there's no point in buying a 4K 32" monitor if I'm going to be running it at 150% as that's the same real estate my 1440p displays currently have.

4K at 125% scaling has the screen real estate of a (theoretical) 1728p display, which I can cope with.

We'll see.

The monitor arrived today.

4K @ 32" and 100% display scaling is fine.
