Hi, I got a problem.
I recently made a topic about my pc's psu, its restarting if I give heavy load on it.
Checking the voltages via AIDA64,
at IDLE it says:
1.5V= 1.472V
3.3V= 3.104V
5V= 4.915V
12V= 11.232V
-12V=12.446V
5V(standby)= 5.120V

If I give it heavy load 3.3V, and 12V drops
3.3V= 2.9V-3.0V
12V= 11V-10.800V

I measured it with a multimeter set to 20Volt, it said STABLE 12.0V, and STABLE 3.3V
What's wrong? I checked all molex connectors, all of them has normal 12V/5V/3.3V voltage, only on AIDA64 shows less, why is that?
PSU: CHIEFTEC 500W(I know it's old, it has been running with this psu for 1year now.)
MOBO: Supermicro X7DBE
RAM: 32GB DDR2
CPU: 1X Xeon 5450
GPU: MSI RX 470 ARMOR OC (4GB)

Which exact PSU is it?
Also, get a new one ASAP. PSUs aren't supposed to drop 2 volts on the 12v rail when under load.

Pick a Tier A or B unit from this list:

As I said, its a CHIEFTEC 500W

Well, if it would really drop 2volt it wouldn't even start I think, and with multimeter it says 12V all the time 馃槙

Because those software measuremnets from the motherboard are completely useless. Just completely ignore them.

I would assume that they asked which of Chieftec's at least 19 different 500W PSUs it is.

:)

Found it!

I believe it's a Tier D unit on the PSU tier list.
