Cheap IPS for office use?

Hi,

I'm looking into buying a cheap IPS to replace my mother's horrible current monitor (LG E1951) that uses only VGA and flickers like mad.

Do you think it's a good idea to buy an IPS panel for pure office work - e-amil, Word, and Excel, occasional Internet browsing... her computer only has integrated HD2000 (Sandy Bridge i3).

It should be 21", 1080p, below 150 €.

acer h236hlbid? it should be in that price range and is fantastic

For microsoft office, you don't really need it. Unless you use photoshop (or other image editing programs) or video editing at work. I think any panel monitor would work in your case.

The Acer h236hl is a good one. I have it on my desk at the moment. 1920x1080 23inch.

I'd buy the AOC since its just office use.

Sorry for mild necro, but does IPS do better than TN when illuminated by sunlight (my mother sits right below a window, facing away from it)?
