loop configuration and fittings

Since I'm new to custom watercooling I've been trying to figure out which way to configure my loop. I've been unscrewing and screwing the fittings and trying out different configurations to see what fits best in my case. I'm kind of worried that doing so will damage threads or O-rings on the fittings. Is there a risk or are they durable enough for screwing and unscrewing?

Doubtful. You’ll damage the threads on the blocks before the oring will fail. Or they will dry rot. 
 

As long as you don’t over tighten anything, there won’t be an issue using them as intended.
