Tablet not powering on..

Hello i got this very old galaxy tab e running android 4.4.4.

Suddenly it has stopped powering on

i don't remember when exactly it started.

So i plug in to a charger and nothing happens,

Here and there i get the bolt icon but i just see it 

like for a few seconds. I don't see the battery percentage

you usually see. So yeah nothing works not even pressing the button.

I even checked the cable and it works fine on another device.

How long as it been off?

Probably a dead battery.

It's possible that the battery is dead, and the USB port on the tablet is broken so it can't charge anymore. I had the same thing happen to my Galaxy S4. A good way to test this would be to get a phone battery charger like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Sfmn-Universal-Battery-USB-Port-Smartphone/dp/B01JZLHTHG

 

You would want to take the battery out of the tablet, charge it up with that, and then put it back in and see if the tablet turns on. If doing that makes it work, the USB port on the tablet is most likely broken.

I can't remove the battery easily.

and it was working fine this yeah (i think)

I also tried cleaning it with some rubbing alcohol

It might not be that the port is dirty. It may be physically damaged somehow. Either way, a damaged USB port would be consistent with the behavior you described, where you can get the charging icon to appear for a second but then it goes away.

@WaggishOhio383 I doubt i'm even going to get it fixed.

And really it's not a big deal. It wasn't even the best thing ever despite having android 4.4.4

@WaggishOhio383 What i do remember is that i left it inside a car.

and then brought it back inside do you think that was the cause of the issue?

@fuzz0r Strange enough the back of the tablet is completely flat.

No bulged battery i guess
