How can I prevent hard drive from becoming a dynamic disk?

DarkEnergy

So I tried installing a linux distro on my 1tb hard drive (this hard drive does not have my windows installation on it), and it never installed right. Whenever I rebooted, grub didn't appear, it just booted right to windows. Anyway, so now I have a large partition and now a big chunk of free space (I deleted the partitions containing the linux install.) However, if I try to extend the partition I want extended, it says it will become a dynamic disk which I do not want. My current partitions: CBRfba2.png

Not too sure why it says "Free space" whereas normally it would say "Unallocated space" correct? I know if it's unallocated that it would allow you to expand to a basic disk.
