So my fans have finally gotten on my last nerve. I have 6 thermal take argb fans, but half are different models and half do not sync with aura sync. Which they were advertised to do. I am throwing in the towel and purchasing all new fans, filling every fan spot. I’m looking at 6 MF140R’s and 1 MF120R as the exhaust. My case is a DEEPCOOL Matrexx 70 and I have a 360 cooler master aio. I know I would need all 120mm fans, but I am considering ordering a 420mm aio to replace it. I am asking to see if anybody has experience with these fans, or if upgrading from all 120mm fans to 140mm fans with a slightly larger  radiator would be worth the $350+ it would cost. I appreciate any suggestions

Or just noctuas if you not into rgb

ive heard corsairs fans are pretty good, but are they compatible with asus aura sync? that is my main priority

Generally spending that much on cooling isn't worth it unless you've got top of the line parts and money isn't a concern for you. You won't see $350 worth of extra performance, it will probably just be quieter and may gain you a few FPS from higher boost clocks.

The more I learn, the more I realise I don't actually know anything.

Recommendations: Lian Li 205m (sleek, pretty decent airflow for a non-mesh front panel and cheap), i5-10400f (Ryzen 5 3600 performance, 20% cheaper), Arctic P14 PWM fans, Logitech g305.

You have a good point. Is it still worth another ~$20 dollars to include 3 140mm fans on the top of my case? That isn't a huge difference, but I'm not sure if there will be a cooling benefit

I recommend UpHere fans, they're great for the price. However, the rpm and colour cannot be controlled through your MB. The RPM is set and cannot be changed so expect noise but the noise is not really that bad. And the rgb can be changed thru a controller. yeah its not a WOW fan pack but for the price, I'd buy it again. Got a 5 fan pack +controller + remote for under $20. Jay made a video based on similar fans a few days ago, check out the video.

If you're replacing all your fans either way, I would personally spend the extra 20 ish bucks for 140mm fans. You can run them at a lower RPM and get the same performance, or at the same RPM and get better performance.

Make sure the ones you put on your rad have good static pressure though.

I'm going to take a look around. I will probably go with Corsair fans mainly because of their RGB. Yeah... I know I am going with RGB>Performance but with 7 fans what could I do
