mic problem with 3.5mm

I have kraken v2 and i was using front panel for most of the time, im trying to connect to mobo from the back, and only sound comes from it and no mic noise, in options it says that mic in is "located in front of the computer" how do i change it to back of it? or how do i connect it?

Also it shows pink and light green are speakers

Does this headset have a USB connector, a single 3.5mm connector or two 3.5mm connectors?

it has single 3.5 and an adapter that splits it into 2, i use it because i dont have black jack needed for a single one ig.

Are you sure that adapter is a 4 pole adapter?

TRRS = 4 pole.

The fourth pole (or the third black line) is responsible for the microphone sound, which your adapter might not have that.

One way you could check is if the adapter has a microphone symbol on the cable somewhere.

It's possible you have a splitter which only splits the sound and not the microphone/sound.

they are both with 2 lines, but how does it work on the front pink and light green but not on the back? (on the mobo)

the male side of the cable (what plugs into the PC) is suppose to be TRS, but the female jack (what you connect your headset to) needs to be TRRS, but unfortunately you can't just see if it's TRS/TRRS on the female side.

if the cable doesn't work on the green/pink connectors on the back, it won't work with those same jack on the front. I suspect the cable is TRS on the female side.

to test the cable, what you could do is plug in the headset into your splitter.

Then you connect one of the male sides of the splitter to your phone, then the other one.

in theory they should both show up as headphones and not a microphone.

but it works on the front, but doesnt work on the back i used it for some time but I'm more comfortable with using it on mobo, then the front of the case. Yes they both showed up as headphones, the 1st 3.5mm that goes into adapter is TRRS
