Hey everyone. For a couple of weeks i have been struggling with my home built computer. After installing the 'latest' nvidia driver shortly after christmas, my computer started having random freezes. I can browse the internet for a short period of time, but then it freezes. I can also play a game, but it'll freeze a lot faster than when i browse the internet. I've been trying to diagnose the problem, but i can't seem to figure it out. I've tried running memtest86+ over night, with no errors. I've tried changing out the hardrives(removing SSD and only running on 2 HDD's. Removing both HDD's and only running one SSD, but with no luck. I couldn't find any issues with the hardrives either. I've come to the point where i am returning the GPU to amazon, and hoping changing my GPU to a newer one will fix the problem(I have no spare working GPU's to test this, and no master race friends).

Here are my specs.

Mobo: Asrock Z77 Extreme4

Ram: Corsair Vengeance 2x4 1600mhz

GPU: Windforce GTX 670

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO

HDD1: Western digital 1TB 7200rpm

HDD2: Western digital 1TB 7200rpm

CPU: i5 3570k

PSU: CX750

Forgot to mention: All temps are fine, so overheating isn't an issue. I also forgot to mention: Today whilst playing Dota 2, everything froze like usual(all applications on my side monitors froze), but i could still play Dota. But when i alt+tabbed, Dota froze too.

Please just turn off your overclocks and everything should be fine.

Have you tried rolling back your driver or installing a beta driver to see if it might be a driver issue?

I've tried re-installing windows 7 & 8.1 around 20 times at this point. I've tried installing different drivers everytime i've installed a fresh version of Windows, but with no luck.

Well if you manage to use integrated graphics without any problems then it's best you RMA the card or return it if possible.

Just tried it. Removed the GPU and went into bios and enabled "onboard graphics". My screen would spas out and just show me a bunch of random colors shortly after booting.

Well, I'm at a loss here.. Does it always do that when you boot up with the onboard graphics or just once? Now I don't know if it's the GPU or the motherboard. MAybe someone with more knowledge than me could help you out.
