Hello Community,

Is been a long time since I was here.

I'm planing to build a new PC,for be more specific it will be a Gamestation.

What I wanna say with that is, It will be like a Cube and connectet to a 32'' LED TV and controlled only with the Razer Sabertooth(in Games)/Like a Better PS4 od XBONE

MY budget is arround 2000USD(1800Swiss Franks)

Here The specs:

CPU:      Intel I5 4670K

MB:        Asus Z87 TUF Gryphon m-ATX

RAM:     2x4GB Crucial Balistix Tactical CL8 1600Mhz

Graphx: Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X    (I'm NV fan but spend arround 100 more for 3 FPS no thanx and the Tri-x seems to be faster than a stock 780Ti)

Storage: Crucial M500 480GB SSD (no HDD)

Cooler:  EKL Alpenföhn K2 CPU Cooler

No DVD or Bluray Rom

PSU:     Be Quiet! Dark Power P10 550w

Case:    Aerocool DS Cube

Question:

will be the 550w enought for the system ?CPU and GRFX will be in future be OCed

thanx for the answers

I would pick up a gtx770 instead, they are only 260€ on some german websites and they run cooler than the r9 290. I would also only get a smaller SSD like a 128-256gb model, because a HDD is fast enough to load most games and I've only noticed a big speed difference in BF4, but not that much, that I want to move my whole library to the SSD and you would like a HDD for Storage of other things too. since you want to use the PC solely for gaming I would suggest getting a lower end I5 or just the 4670 non-k

ps: the powersupply should be enough for a i5 and 770(not quite for a r9 290 though)

480 GB total seems a bit small, Id recommend getting like a 250 GB ssd and like a 2 TB HDD.

Also 550W is enough for any single gpu build. I dont get why people always seem to have these outdated or just wrong oppinions. to prove my point:

a HDD will not be monted thats why I choose 480GB SSD It will only have OS and Games inside

its only for gaming

for work and other things I have a Notebook :)

and why 770?

is a bit a distance from the 290x to the 770 isnt it?

and it should run for 2 Years all the Games @ Ultra or Very High

after 2 Years maybe I'll change the GPU

and thanx I'll let the P10 550w on the list

My budget was @ beginning about 2500Dollars

780Ti on the list a expensive board and watercooler

and after few thinking came 500 bugs down :D

oh, sorry...I read that you wanted a r9 290, but you actually wrote 290x. Those two cards can get pretty hot so the fans might spin loud and I know that the 770 runs quiet

believe us though with the SSD and HDD. You'll regret spending so much on the SSD and not having enough space for everything

Where are you shopping?

The 290x is quite overkill. There's also no reason to get the 290x over the cheaper 290. You should probably stick with the 770/280x or get a 290/780 after upgrading your display.

hehe ok

yes thats why I choose the Sapphire Tri-X in tests only runs untlil 72-75° and easy quiet.

about SSD I know that after few games will get full

but I'm planing later to mount another 480GB SSD

but only later :)

Why not a hdd instead?

im shoping here www.digitec.ch

Switzerland

About HDD is,I dont know for what I will use it

It will only have the OS a few games inside

Thats it

Like a game console hehe(just with ultra graphics)

And why I wanted the 290x is

My wish is to play 2 years on ultra settings without microstutter

Or is there another possibility?
