Setting up freesync without adrenaline?

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

No, you have to have Adrenaline installed to be able to enable Freesync.

I want to set up freesync on my pc but if possible without having to install adrenaline software since so far i have only bad experiences with it.

my monitor is a viewsonic XG2405

pc specs are

i5-7600 cpu

z270 motherboard

2 8gb DDR4

5600 xt gpu

Current gpu drivers should be 27.20.14501.28009

Is there a way to install radeon software (which is apparently the amd version of nvidia control panel) without also installing adrenaline or if there is some other way?

Unforunate to hear that but guess i will have to deal with it

Just to make sure though there is no such thing as radeon lite or whatever that could be used as a general alternative right?

ikr amd would be so cool without their pesky drivers, but unfortunately that's not how it works (somebody should mod NVCP to work with AMD cards tho...)
