Hi everyone,

I got a new PC few days ago, only trouble I'm having with it is the WiFi adapter is continually disabling itself automatically. The time varies but roughly every 20 mins it just stops working - no networks are detected, but every time I run the network troubleshooter, it fixes the issue again for another 20 mins until it happens again and I just run the troubleshooter again and again.

I've tried changing power saving settings, which I dont think it is anyway as it happens even when I'm actively using the PC. I've also tried multiple drivers and making sure my network is set to private and not public. No luck with any of these.

Thanks for any help guys its much appreciated

What WiFi adapter

What motherboard

What USB connector are you using

Do you have installed all the drivers

Etc etc

Its a Realtek RTL8192EE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCIE NIC its a card in the PCIE slot

Mobo is Asrock A320M HDV R4.0

I installed drivers both from Realteks website (2023.56.502.2017) and also tried just the drivers that Windows automatically installs, no luck with either of them

Thanks

Make sure to reboot your system after uninstalling and installing drivers

Tried fully reinstalling the windows drivers and realtek (seperately). Got a good couple of hours after completely reinstalling the realitek drivers but it just did it again unfortunately 😞

Under the driver tab for the wifi card is an option for allowing windows to turn off the device to save power. Uncheck that BS, see if it makes a difference (this is an entirely different setting from Power Plans)
