LG Monitor only showing backlight, No OSD

I recently purchased an open box LG32QN600 for a great deal.  When purchased it said that it had been tested and was in working order.  I was excited to get it out of the box and start using it, but when I got it set up, the display will not show anything.  I can tell the backlight comes on and will go off when I put my computer to sleep, and my computer recognizes the monitor.  I have tried using the menu button to change settings but even the menu/OSD will not show up.  Does anybody have any suggestions as to something I could do to remedy the problem or would I be better off to return the monitor.
