This happened to me on my Dell G3.

It's definitely something in the BIOS.  I don't quite remember what it was called on my Dell.  Since you don't have a Dell, it will likely be differently called.  But it will be a setting on your laptop drives.

 

Go into bios settings and play around with it.

 

This happened to me when I upgraded my m.2 and mechanical drive.  Only the ssd 2.5" was being recognized, not the M.2.  I changed something on the bios settings under drive and that resolved it.

Thanks for all the help, I just booted it and the drive shows now so I think it’s working.
