I'm not getting any signal to my monitor from my GPU.  I don't have integrated graphics on my mobo or cpu so I can't just go through that route to figure out whats going on.  I had an earlier issue where every-time I pressed the power button on my desktop, all the fans and RGB would work and then turn off, and it would repeat endlessly unless I turned off the computer.  I then proceeded to restart the CMOS and that seemed to fix the issue of it restarting constantly but now I don't get any signal from my GPU to my monitor.  If anyone could help out that would be very appreciated.

Things that I've Tried:

  • Turned on and off the desktop multiple times
  • Monitor works with other inputs
  • Cable that I'm using works with other connections
  • Unplugged and replugged back in the GPU
  • Cleaned the entire machine
  • Checked the ram sticks to see if one was faulty or unreliable
  • Checked all cables to see if a connection issue and cant find a loose connection

My setup:

  • mobo - Asus Prime Z390-P
  • CPU - i7 9700 3 core
  • GPU - RTX 2070
  • SSD - Samsung 860 EVO 1TB
  • PSU -  EVGA Supernova Gold 650W
  • RAM - 2 x 16gb DDR4

How did you clear the CMOS originally and have you tried it again?

I had to take out my gpu to get to the little circular lithium battery, I took it out for 30s, put it back, then plugged the gpu back in.  I have tried it again.  Also tried putting the gpu in the other pcie port and still nothing.

Do you have access to a second machine where you can test the other parts of your rig?

Unplug everything except cpu, 1 stick of ram and psu. See if it works, if not reseat cpu. If it does. Plug one thing in at a time.

Also check risers for mobo and if you put on your own cpu fan mount. Make sure it's properly installed.

Seems like a standard boot loop. It tried to boot 2 times with current settings, then reset to default. If you put the GPU back in does it work again? If not, try what @Npiet1suggested.

It doesn't give signal but before, the monitor would only show the "no signal" once and then go into sleep mode, but now it constantly shows the "no signal" and then goes away and then comes back.

Yeah that sounds like the best course of action right now, I'll post what comes of it.  Thx!
