Should I return this 3070

Go to solution Solved by TargetDron3,

Use it and find out?

I have a Zotac 3070 and it runs just fine.  It might be louder than some other cards due to the dual fan instead of triple fan set up, but the card was designed for smaller systems.

I find it extremely dumb to return a product because people say its bad and you have no clue if its bad or not from personal experience. Keep it and use it.

I don't mind much about the noise because I have an xbox one rn that runs super loud, but it was just a minus. I'll keep it for now, thanks

have to try it first, but yes, it's not the first brand one might want to go to. then again any brand can have their issues, zotac isn't all that great... but when it works, it just works. and you might get what you pay for, hopefully without issues tho.

Geez, dude, how many threads have you posted hemming and hawing about what GPU to get and second-guessing yourself and now you've finally got one when some people have been trying unsuccessfully for months and you want to return it because randos on the internet said it wasn't the bestest one?

It's true Zotac isn't a "prestige" brand. What's also true is that all of the 3070 models (with the possible exception of the MSI Ventus 2x, which I've heard has inadequate cooling) all perform pretty close to each other. At least try it out for a few days, it's not like you can just run back to the store and swap it for a different model.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Given the demand for these cards, I'd hold on to whatever you have like they are some kind of rare gems.

Well they have a warranty, so even if it fails you can RMA it. I wouldn't worry. I have had two Zotac cards and they haven't failed me, years later.
