I built my first pc right at the start of quarantine, and slowly upgraded many of my parts including my CPU, GPU etc etc, and I now have a lot of leftover parts lying around. I want to use them to build another pc for my girlfriend, but I still need some things, and since my motherboard (asrock b450m pro4) is now running a ryzen 7 3700x and a 2060 I figured I might want to update that too just to prevent any stability issues (idk maybe I'm just paranoid) and use the current asrock motherboard in the build for my girlfriend. however, I updated my bios when I got my 3700x and on the support website with all the bios revisions it doesn't recommend using the bios version I'm running now with raven ridge CPUs. The CPU I have leftover is a ryzen 3 2200g, which is raven ridge. could anyone explain why they recommend against this and/or whether or not it's possible to revert my bios back to a version that supports the 2200g? the motherboard doesn't have flashback

Which bios version are you on. Not recommended sounds like it still works and it's not removed from support list.

Also a universal tip with a bios. If it ain't broke don't fix it. DO NOT UPDATE A WORKING BIOS. It's more likely to cause issues if you do than if you don't.
