If it's x79, there are tons and tons of simply lovely chinese x79 boards out there with all kinds of neat features, like m.2, etc.

 

Note, these board may or may not suck rocks.

However, if you are so inclined, there is a great YT channel devoted to testing these x79 boards, and the pros and cons of each.

It's a Russian fellow living in Spain that posts in both English and Russian.

I'm running dual x79 (although to be exact, there is no such technical thing as "dual x79" but neither here nor there) in the form of twin Ivy Bridge Xeons, so if you do go this route, I can probably be of some help.
