4k gaming pc with ability to use for work

Halfpint

1. Budget & Location

Canada - 6000$ CAD but preferably much less. I have attached a order list for parts I think would work together well.

2. Aim

I would like to be able to 4k game multiple kinds of games on my tv, but 1440 for monitor with high refresh frames. I would also like to be able to preform my job on it as well.

3. Monitors

1 monitor - 1440 preferably curved and wont be adding multiple. Ability to use on 4k tv as well.

4. Peripherals

I would like windows 10 pro 64 bit.

I would like to know if I can downgrade anything to lower the price, if I need something else not on the list or something better. I am not 100% on the monitor that is on the list. Also there is a portable ssd, ignore that as I meant to put a second 970 Evo Plus NVMe M.2 PCI-Ex4 SSD 1 TB. I am also pretty set on The Ryzen 9 5900 and 3080 graphics card.

You do not need 1200w PSU. It'll work, but you might as well get good 700w one.

Also I'd go with one large ssd, not 2 smaller ones. Number of slots is limited, when you inevitably run out of space adding one more ssd will be easier than replacing what you already have.

1200W PSU is excessive.

There are also lots of very good X570 boards cheaper than the Dark Hero.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

What should I look for in a board? I am a first time builder and this list is what was recommended to me.

If you are not fussed about RGB this is cheaper.

The SSD is a 2TB Gen 4. Depending on what you are doing with the pc you might be fine with a Gen 3 SSD.

@lee32uk, I'm not sure why it is but one cannot trust amazon.ca Windows pricing on PCPartPicker.
