Runs at 2.7 when? It's not going to run at 4.2 all the time, like just sitting on the desktop, at least it's not supposed to. What does it hit when it's actually under load, like in a game or a benchmark like Cinebench? 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I see from some of your previous threads you mention having a 2600k, but also an H61 motherboard. Is that the board and CPU you're talking about? An H61 board isn't capable of overclocking. 

 

What are the CPU temps under load? Could be (extreme) thermal throttling.

No I changed it to a amd fx 8350 eight core now

Well, that was probably a downgrade. But beside the point right now. What board? FX series was noted for being extremely hot.
