Is 1080p 165hz good for a 3070

yes and even higher would be very better... the sweet spot is 240hz for 1080p with a rtx 3070... 165hz also would do fine!

personally, 2560x1440p high refresh (even 120hz would do fine for me) at 27'' is where it's at for a good desktop sitting pancake gaming experience.

i would go with 3440x1440p high refresh ultra wide at this point tho, personally. 1080p was nice 7 years ago...and 4K is useless for a monitor this size.
