Hello internet people, I came here to see if I could get some help on this recent issue I have with my computer.

These last days my PC is turning itself off, no error message no blue screen no nothing, just shuts itself down. Used event viewer to check and turns out its "Kernel-Power 41"
I did a lot to try and fix it by myself but nothing changed.
So im here to ask what do to before I have to buy something and find out that doesn't fix the problem.

PC specs and context:

Spoiler

OS: Windows 10, 64-bit, Home Single language
Motherboard: ECS H81H3-M4
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4771 CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz
BIOS:    American Megatrends Inc. 4.6.5, 13/05/2014
RAM: 8gb (Single 8gb memory stick)
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX-1050 (Gigabyte brand, 2gb vram)
PSU: Generic EXO Power supply unit, 500w?
Storage: 1tb HDD drive, 120gb SSD (Boots windows from it)

We have this pre-built EXO PC (EXO Ready H2-P7788) since 2015 when we bought it new, then I added the graphics card and last year we added in an SSD and did a fresh windows install on it. Originally it came with a CD-DVD reader but I got rid of it because it didn't open after some time.
Never had issues with it, other than the graphics card not performing as well as it used to  (Probably because it was dirty and overheating, we have the PC on the floor and I don't recall cleaning it at all in late 2020)

I tried:

  1. Updating windows
  2. Updating/Checking drivers
  3. Updating Nvidia graphics card drivers
  4. Disabling any audio driver that could be conflicting
  5. Checking for malware
  6. Unistalling recent apps
  7. Using chkdsk for both my drives
  8. Cleaning the whole PC (In case it was overheating)
  9. Running tests for the memory, PSU and the graphics card (Using OCCT)

...and I probably tried more things that I don't remember. I have checked a lots of guides about this error and done everything I could except bios update (Not sure how to do it, didn't find any option on the bios and I don't see how the update description is related to my problem)

I feel that since my PC is a prebuilt the problem is the power supply, as it is a generic one. At this point in almost certain it is the PSU as running a test for it shutdowns the PC instantly. What should I do? Should I try to update the bios or should I replace the power supply?

Thanks in advance for any response, if any info is needed just ask for it

Is there anything in particular that seems to trigger the issue? I think your assertion of power supply is probably a good one, especially if you have tried all the things in this list.

it's a prebuilt from like HP or Dell or from a system builder, what sort of specs?

It triggers when gaming or with heavy task. Also triggers just when I start a power supply test. Prebuilt like HP but from a local argentine brand, "EXO S.a".
