i need help, i recently built a new computer back in october, for the last 2 months i have been only having problems. at first i would be playing Cold War and my game would crash i did not really thing anyting of it, but then i started happening more and more same with fortnite, minecraft, pubg, rainbow 6. well playing games my screen would start going black but my computer would stay on, after about 10-15 seconds of having no display my computer would restart it self, i updated my drivers and that seemed to make it worse now im not even able to play games on low setting or at all, i updated my bios to the latest same problem would occur and or trying to launch any game it would crash or say fatal error. i did a fresh reinstall of windows after doing a secure wipe, after that it seems to boot even slower and same when i start an application it has that loading circle next to the cursor and takes like 10 seconds to do anything, now like every 30 or so miniets my screen gose black and then comes back on but what ever i was working on would be not responding for a fat min. I thought it was a graphic card, i contacted the manufacture they sent me a new gpu under warranty same problem occurs but instead of launching in to a game it would just crash. i know my computer is more than capable to handle that any game.

I don't think games crash because of graphics cards. I would try downloading an anti-virus and restart. if that doesn't work, I would just upgrade the pc

This is terrible advice.

Games can absolutely crash because of graphics card issues, the graphics card is what's doing a huge amount of the work in making the game run.

On the other hand it's vanishingly unlikely that this is caused by malware, modern malware in the overwhelming majority of cases is meant to steal your info or your money, not just crash your system for the fun of it, and many common "anti-virus" programs are useless bloatware.

And finally "Eh, can't find the problem, just upgrade" is not a solution at all, it's just telling him to spend money he may or may not have. We don't even know which component might be the issue! Do you want him to build a whole new PC?

@papajohnsdaddy Are you saying the problem has gotten worse to the point where games now no longer launch at all? Have you looked at Windows crash dump files?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
